sorry to say, but dentists don't know how toclean teeth. how many times i had to rescale hard calculus deep under the gum because the dentist failed to remove it.

You don't want to go very deep under the gums. Just a millimeter or so. Think of dipping down first, and then gently scooping away the plaque as you go from front to back. The other way to use this is to put the point gently between the base of two teeth and then massaging in a circular motion. Only do this where the rubber tip fits easily. This will help to stimulate blood flow in the area. (I'm an RDH.)
