Is it safe for the machine and/or does it offer any benefits to mix Listerine or Scope with the water while using it?

hey tictoe...Bleeding and irritation is normal for begining use, especially with braces. The same thing happened to me. Your gums are not used to the water pressure and it will take a little time for them to get used to the waterpik. My suggestion is to use it every other day on the lowest setting and then gradually increase the power. That's what I did and now my gums no longer bleed..

For goodness sake all you need are the little round rubber water pump things that the dental nurses uses on you, how much are they??? Do you need mechanics for this?

I really do no think this is real! I use ultrasonic equipment from NSK to remove plaque and some times its complicatedt. How does a mild pressure can remove plaque. Plus the waterpik ultrasonic brush bubbles where not coming from the brush!

The dental water jet is safe to use on crowns, bridges, and veneers. It will help keep the area clean and stimulate gum tissue to ensure a healthy smile.
