The injection hurts more than the filling.

The needle they use does not really "hurt" or "sting". It feels simply like someone is pinching your gum really hard. That pinch last's LESS than a second, and then it's over-with. You might feel the Novocain entering into your gum, which might sting just a little bit. In about 3 minutes, it'll be so numb you won't realize anything is going on. Overall, don't fret to much about the needed. It isn't THAT bad.

its not really painful. what bugs most people is the cold spray off the tool water on your poor tooth. like eating cold ice cream. that always bugs me. the little shot before is to help you feel even more comfortable and is incredibly small. the part i dont like about the dentist is the bleachy smell of the rooms. bleaughh. oh and that water on my teeth. still, you get used to it. its a bit like brushing your teeth in cold water. but nothing to worry about. its all part of having a nice smile.
